In a previous article I talked about the book that I have been writing. I wanted to give you all a taste of what’s too come, and so I decided too post the poem, which will open the first chapter. Its from the point of the view of the protagonist and gives just enough of an insight into the feeling of the book, without really giving anything away. So I hope you enjoy, and I can’t wait too tell you more about my writing process, as well as the mystical world which I am creating!

The lost indigo haze

Rivulets of blue,

cascading down the icy pains.

A glowing indigo haze,

billowing across the sky.

A grasping hand fading out of view,

reaching forth in desperation.

A blaze of red

and a Gale of blood.

He watched as it burned and drowned

tumbled and fell,

down to the ocean floor below.

Imprinted in his minds eye

He never forgot the day he lost it all.

The day he watched helplessly,

As she glided beneath the waves,

like a feather floating down from a tree.

So slow and yet so certain.

He called for her

but she never returned.

She never answered his call.

She never rose from the waves,

gasping life back into burning lungs.

Her warm touch vanished,

now frozen in his memories.

And so he never reached for her again.

Casting those crisp emerald eyes far away

Into the depths of his soul.

And thus he never spoke of the

Rivulets of blue,

Or the

Indigo swirling haze ever again.
